Delayed Baggage
We apologize that your baggage did not arrive with you on your flight
Initial Reporting of Delayed Baggage
-
We appreciate your assistance in providing information about your missing bag before leaving the airport by completing a delayed baggage report with a Customer Service Agent at your arrival airport. Once the report has been completed, we will begin a search to locate your bag.
-
Delayed baggage typically arrives on our next flight or is located within the first 24 hours. We will notify you promptly of any developments as we work to locate your bag.
-
Please retain any ticket receipts, baggage checks, and any other documents related to your travel.
How can I get my delayed bag after it arrives?
-
Please coordinate baggage retrieval with the arrival airport. Some airports have delivery services while others will require you to pick up your bag.
-
Baggage accepted as “Excess” or “Space Available” is not eligible for delivery services and will need to be picked up at the airport.
Interim Expenses
-
Customers who are away from their home may be eligible to receive reasonable interim expenses resulting from delayed baggage.
-
Customers should contact their arrival airport office for preapproval of interim expense reimbursement.
-
Please retain receipts for items purchased as interim expenses.
-
Our complete baggage policy can be viewed at capeair.com in our published Contract of Carriage.
What if my bag is not found right away?
-
Should your bag not be located within 5 days, we request that you print, complete, and submit a Customer Claim Form while we continue to search for your bag. If we are not successful in locating your bag after 30 days, we will contact you regarding settlement.
